Join us for a fascinating and inspiring talk by Izzy Ezagui an American-born one-armed squad commander in the Israel Defense Forces.

 

After losing his dominant arm in battle Ezagui overcame seemingly insurmountable bureaucratic, physical and psychological hurdles and returned to the fight. He became the only combat soldier with an amputation to serve as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces reserves. In, May of 2011, Shimon Peres, the president of Israel, awarded him the highest accolade a soldier outside the battlefield can receive
